June 20 - The Inverted World - A Novel - Christopher Priest. A crushing gravitational force has transformed earth to be almost unlivable. The city is some sort of train, which must be pulled along tracks which are built ahead of it to escape the destructive force. The city is governed by a group who make sure that its citizens know nothing of what’s happening. People are grown artificially and the population is dwindling and beginning to resist artificial control. What lies outside of the world of the city?
